7600 Monterey
Located in the heart of Gilroy California, the curved roof forms of the building were inspired by the nearby Santa Cruz and Diablo Mountains and clad in standing-seam metal as a gesture to the humble utilitarian buildings found within the agrarian community that surrounds the town.
The cement plaster body of the building, with its terra cotta colored bookends and earth toned bays, is reminiscent of Mission Style architecture found along El Camino Real.
The building is not large nor is it small, it just fits into and complements its context…as good neighbors do.
